From the 8th to the 14th May 2021 the World Federation of Pediatric Intensive and Critical Care Societies (WFPICCS) organised a very impressive, continent by continent programme of events to celebrate, discuss, and share PIC around the world.

To mark this we invited four really special guests to the PicPod: Satoshi Nakagawa from Japan, the current WFPICCS president, Brenda Morrow from South Africa, the WFPICCS president-elect, and Ann-Marie Brown from the USA and Luca Tortorolo from Italy, who both helped to organise the week.

What is PIC, and how does this differ amongst countries and cultures? How important is the role of family, and how is visiting different around the world? What is the role of WFPICCS in trying to combine a very disparate sub-specialty, and how can WFPICCS advocate for everyone? How does PIC work in different geographical areas, including the South African getting-to-PIC paradox.

We are a global specialty, and in this podcast we address PIC for everyone.
